Late aboard the G Train in New York City, Sea Lion Cow opens with our protagonist stepping into the subway car, singing an unusual song while clutching a lone plant. Fellow commuters exhibit a mix of puzzlement, amusement, and indifference towards this spontaneous performance. What follows is a series of events no one would ever expect, except, maybe, in New York City.
